Dear Editor,
Kindly carry the following in your newspaper. I wish to draw your attention to a grave injustice that continues unabated even though I’ve spoken to both the City Council and the Ministry of Public Works.
I have two (2) properties situated at Lot 47 Da Silva Street, Newtown and for two (2) years a big derelict garbage truck GNN 8288 is permanently parked on my parapet preventing ingress and egress to my premises.
It is parked flushed in front one of my bridges, see photo attached.I have made repeated complaints to both the City Council and the Ministry of Public Works to no avail. It is nice to be beautifying Merriman Mall but the Mayor & City Council must also ensure that parapets are cleared and citizens can live in comfort. I therefore call on both the Mayor and Ministry of Public Works to take steps as early as possible and clear the parapet of this truck.
