2015 Raffik & Sons Construction Second Division 20-Over Cricket Competition in Berbice
The 2015 Raffik & Sons Construction Service Second Division 20-Over Cricket Competition organised
by the Berbice Cricket Board for teams in Central and Lower Corentyne continued with Kennard’s Memorial of Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne, winning their final two Group D preliminary matches to end unbeaten and winners of that Group, therefore earning a place in the semi-finals.
In their match against Mibicuri Strikers after they made 126 for 7 in their 20-Overs, former Berbice Under-19 left arm spinner Karamchand Ramnarine took 5 for 12 from 3 Overs to bowl out Mibicuri for 79 in their response.
With Devendra Sydney taking 3 for 23 and former Berbice Under-19 pacer Junior Blair 2 for 22, they restricted Port Mourant to 116 for 8 in their 20 Overs and then Blair came back and scored 35 to guide Kennard’s to a 6-wicket win.
Yet another former Berbice Under-19 cricketer, this time offspinner Munilall Shivdyal took 4 for 16 from 4 Overs which together with 3 for 20 from 4 Overs from medium pacer Altaf Hussain helped Fyrish bowl out Albion Front Travellers for 95 in 20 Overs. Yudendra Chinapen then scored 35 to see Fyrish to a 7-wicket victory.

Kennard’s Memorial 126 for 7 in 20 Overs with Andrew Persaud 32, Ravi Bassoo 30, Dwayson Watson 3 for 10 and Richard Matadeen 2 for 22.
Mibicuri Strikers 79 in 13 Overs with Karamchand Ramnarine 5 for 12 and Devendra Sydney 2 for 14.
At Bush Lot Farm, Kennard’s Memorial beat Port Mourant by 6 wickets.
Port Mourant 116 for 8 in 20 Overs with Devendra Sydney 3 for 23 and Junior Blair 2 for 22.
Kennard’s Memorial 119 for 4 in 17.1 Overs with Junior Blair 35 and Thomas George 23.
At Fyrish, Fyrish beat Albion Front Travellers by 7 wickets.
Albion Front Travellers 95 in 20 Overs with Munilall Shivdyal 4 for 16 and Altaf Hussain 3 for 20. Fyrish 99 for 3 in 8 Overs with Yuvendra Chinapen 35 and Ray Nelson 24.
At Mibicuri, Courtland All Stars beat Mibicuri Jaguars by 7 wickets.
Mibicuri Jaguars 77 for 6 in 15 Overs with Tamesh Ramsundar 26, Michael Cummings 3 for 17, Timothy Mc Donald 2 for 7 and former Berbice pacer Eon Gibson 2 for 14.
