Host Fairfield defeated Better Hope by seven wickets when the East Coast Demerara Cricket Association Tropical Spring Purified Water U19 tournament continued recently.
Batting first, Better Hope were bowled out for 126 in 21 overs. Ravendra Danraj scored 29 and Ronald Basdeo 24. Motelall Chatura claimed 4-18 and Rajendra Singh 3-18. Fairfield replied with 127-3 in 24 overs. Vishwanauth Ramlakhan struck 72 not out and Vishal Persaud an unbeaten 20. Jayadev Mana took 2-26. The game was reduced to 30 overs. The competition continues today.
