This year’s Smalta / Ministry of Public Health Girls Pee Wee Schools Football Competition will be a repeat of last year’s final that saw Stella Mari beat St. Stephen’s on penalty kicks to win the title.

The two teams have once again set up a showdown after winning their respective quarter and semi-final encounters yesterday, at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Stella Maris led by a stunning free kick from Ludesha Reynolds in the 15th minute of play eliminated a stubborn North Ruimveldt unit, while St. Stephen’s beat South Ruimveldt 2-0 after regulation ended 1-1.
Earlier, Stella Maris survived 4-3 on penalty kicks against West Ruimveldt, while St. Stephen’s edged Tucville 2-1.
North Georgetown defeated Enterprise 2-0 in a penalty shootout after their encounter finished nil-all, while South Ruimveldt beat St. Pius 2-0.
