The Zeeburg cricket ground is expected to come alive today when DJ Stress A/k Paul Bonar Jr stage a T20 softball tournament dubbed “Night of Fun” starting from 15:00 hrs.
Zeeburg Volcanoes will battle Speedboat Sports Club in the opening fixture which will be followed by Parika Defenders playing East Coast XI in a masters’ game. The main event of the evening pits Regal from Georgetown against Wolf’s Warriors from West Coast Demerara. A riveting contest is anticipated with Regal featuring players such as Richard Latif, Chien Gittens, Privnauth Motilall, Fazal Rafiek and Navin Singh while Wolf’s Warriors will have Amrit Rai, Mark Harold, Vishnu Tammechandra and Mark Harold in their line-up. Cash prizes and trophies will be up for the taking.
Off field entertainment will be provided by 71 sounds and HI-Fi Sounds and admission is $500. The Cool Boyz, who are Guyana’s funniest guys from Youtube, Facebook and the thousand of Cool Boyz DVDs circulating Guyana, will be there to meet the fans. There will be a special Cool Boyz Photo Booth in place so the fans can take photos with their phones or pay a small fee to take a printed photo with the Cool Boyz!
Merry-Go-Round, Ferris Wheel, Candy Floss Machine, Ice cream Bar and more will be in place for the kids.
