A partially decomposed body found at Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara, has been identified as missing hire car driver Colin Clarke. Clarke, 55, popularly called “Ole Boy” of Crane Housing Scheme, went missing last Friday afternoon. He was last seen on the West Coast Demerara where he operates a hire car. His remains were discovered by residents who were passing near a bridge in the Uitvlugt community around 05:30 hours today (December 3, 2015). The body is said to have marks of violence and wire was also found around the neck.
Following his disappearance, Clarke’s relatives had expressed fear that he might be a victim of carjacking.
A silver-grey Toyota Allion motor car, HC 4993, which was being driven by Clarke at the time of his disappearance, is still missing.
