The Soesdyke Cricket Group (SCG) has collaborated with Trophy Stall to stage the 16-team 10/10 Tapeball cricket tournament, which began on October 11 and the Quarterfinals will be contested on Sunday December 6 at the Soesdyke Community ground.
The semi-finals and Final are scheduled for December 19 from 09:30hrs and the teams will vie for the winner’s prize of $100,000 and the championship Trophy, while runner up will collect $50,000 and a Trophy, while the third placed team receives $25,000 and a Trophy.
The tournament, which involves 16 teams from Little Diamond to Timehri on the East Bank and inclusive of Kuru Kuru and Yarrokabra on the Highway, is down to its last eight and after this weekend’s action the final four will emerge.
This Sunday Friendship battle Hillfoot, Kuru-Kuru take on King’s X1, Rubis oppose Soesdyke Vishnu Mandir and Airport face-off with Sarah Johanna in the quarterfinal action.
The first semi-final will be between the winner of quarterfinal 1 & 3, while the second semi will be between the winner of quarter final 2 & 4, while the grand finale will be played under lights.
The MVP ($10,000 & Trophy), Batsman with the Most runs ($10, 000 & trophy), Bowler with the Most wickets ($10,000 & trophy) and the MVP in the final will all be rewarded for their efforts and admission is free.
