With the aim of improving the outlook of men in our society, the Guyana Men’s Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists will be hosting a three-day seminar in Georgetown.
Skill harnessing, empowerment and the importance of responsibility will be some of the key areas that will be addressed.
The conference is scheduled to commence on Friday December 4, at the Central Seventh-day Adventist Church located at Church and Oronoque Streets, Georgetown at 9am.
On the following day, another session along with an awards ceremony will be held at the Sophia Exhibition Centre at 9am followed by the final meeting on Sunday at 9am at the Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Featuring on the list of guest speakers will be Dr. Leon .C. Wilson, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs of the Alabama State University.
Wilson is an expert in social psychology, with a minor in social organization and significant advanced training in statistics. He also holds an M.A. in religion and counselling from Andrews University in Michigan, U.S.A and a Bachelor of Theology from Caribbean Union College, now known as the University of the Southern Caribbean.
