Two-time Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) champion Kristian Jeffrey made good on a promise to offer support to the Buxton Youth Developers Club when his father and mother Kevin and Denise
Jeffrey made good on his commitment recently.
Young Jeffrey, who swept the marquee Group 4 Class in the CMRC, dominating his more experienced counterparts in all four countries that the championship was staged, pledged assistance to young member of the Club Aneka Phillips, who was scheduled to leave Guyana to participate in the North American Teams Table Tennis Championships in the USA.
Jeffrey, an ambassador of the Club which does a lot of social and sporting activities in the Buxton community is following in the footsteps of his grandfather Lennie Shuffler, who has been instrumental in developing and sustaining the facility in addition to assisting in realising many of the programmes the Club offers to youths of the community.
According to his father, Kristian offered one of the trophies he won from the final leg of the CMRC which was held in Guyana to the club as an appreciation for the moral support he received from them that enabled him to go out on the track with the confidence he exuded during the races.
Senior Jeffrey relayed a message from his son to the members that read,”Development in life is just like motor racing, it is not only for the swift, but for those who could endure to the end. Continue to develop and stay focused on your goals.”
