The Director of Sport Christopher Jones has congratulated the Lady Jags who have advanced to CONCACAF Olympic qualifiers following a 2-1 victory over Jamaica at the Ato Boldon stadium in Trinidad and Tobago on Friday.
Jones said in his message, “Your determination and hard work and has paid off!
We continue to be rooting behind you!”
Mariam El Masri and second half substitute Brittany Persuad scored for the Lady Jags during the game.
Guyana now join USA, Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Trinidad, Puerto Rico and Guatemala to see which two countries will represent CONCACAF at the Olympic Games in Rio.
