When the second day of action in the SUNBURST sponsored East Bank Football Association (EBFA) Under-17 League / knock-out tournament unfold tomorrow at the Grove Playfield, defending champions
Grove Hi Tech will be seeking to open their account on a winning note when they oppose Soesdyke Falcons in the main attraction at14:30hrs.
The first match of what will be a hectic day, since the Stag 7-A-Side competition will also conclude tomorrow, will serve up the first of two U-17 matches when Herstelling Raiders oppose Mocha Champs as they go after their second win in as many matches.
A win for the raiders will see them booking a place in the final four since their group, Group A only has three teams, Diamond United being the other. Herstelling were in very dismissive mood when they opened with a solid 8-0 win over Diamond on November 7.
Seasoned forward Seon Alfred will again be hunting goals as he scored a double against Diamond, Daniel Nedd had blasted a hat-trick, while James Walcott had also netted twice. Mocha however, will have other ideas and will be going after a win themselves to open on a winning note.
The main event will showcase the defending champions Grove Hi Tech against Soesdyke. Both teams will start cautious since they are all too familiar with each other having come through the ranks at the Under-15 level as well as the Digicel Schools Champions level.
Soesdyke will be out to prove that they are no push overs and while they will start as underdogs, they will be counting on their team to deliver the first upset of the tournament.
