Mix Up received the first prize of $150,000 and a trophy for winning the Faye Joseph welcome home dominoes tournament which was contested recently at Gaulding Place, South Ruimveldt.
Mix Up marked 80 games with Mark Rodrigues scoring the maximum 18, TNT placed second on 71, while C Point finished third on 70.
TNT collected a trophy and $75,000 and C Point a trophy and $35,000. Speaking at the presentation ceremony held on Wednesday night at the said venue, Frank Small a member of Thunder dominoes team congratulated the winners. He said that Faye Joseph, the current president of the Georgetown Dominoes Association (GDA) has served the sport well since she took over the top post in the GDA. Small stated that she has taken the sport to a new height and made reference to the number of teams representing Guyana overseas on a regular basis.
The competition was organised by teams affiliated to the GDA and Wiltshire and Joseph thanked them for the venture.
