Belvedere and Cropper dominate in the Ministry of Education / Department of Sport / National Sports Commission (NSC) & AL Sport & Tour Promotions Christmas Term Primary Schools Windball Cricket Competition which was played last Thursday & Friday, at the Bush Lot Farm Ground Corentyne.
In the Lower Corentyne Zone
Boys-
Belvedere beat Tain by 24 runs.
Belvedere Primary won the toss and took first strike and made 56-1, Arjinan Adolphus 20, Cecil Leon 18.
Tain Primary who was making their return after a four-year absence replied with 32-0 when the overs expired. Jerehah Mootoo 15, Karan Naglen 10.
Croper then defeated Rose Hall by eight wickets.
Rose Hall Primary won the toss, and batted first and compiled 35-4, Dwane Williams 16. Trevon Williams capture 3-1.
Cropper Primary in reply, ended on 38-2, Sayeed Asgerally 20 with 2x6s.
Girls-
Cropper beat Rose Hall by nine wickets.
Cropper Primary after winning the toss invited Rose Hall to bat first and they made 32-0 with Loraine D’Andinle 16, Romain Mc Kenzie 10.
Cropper in their turn at the crease closed on 33-1. Alpha Charles 14 and Jessica Ishmail 10 were the principal scorers..
