A timely half century from Ryan De Nobrega led Friendship Cavaliers of the Berbice River to victory which saw them winning that zone of the New Building Society Second Division 40-over cricket competition in Berbice, thus earning a
place in the last 16 playoffs.
De Nobrega hit 61 (5×4 2×6) to help his team post 222-9 in their allotted 25 0vers against Ebini Ranch Raiders who were bowled out for 91 in response. Other half centuries were scored by Wayne Richards of Police, Rajbance Hemraj of Bush Lot Challengers and Krishna Amoi of Chesney.
