Police are trying to ascertain the identities of a young couple whose bodies were found at the Kingston seawalls around 17.00 hrs yesterday.
Police said that the victims of East Indian ancestry were fully clothed and are
estimated to be in their early twenties.
It is believed that the victims committed suicide. Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum confirmed that none of the bodies bore any marks of violence.
He said that Crime Scene ranks retrieved two receipts from the right pocket of the dead man. The receipts indicated that he had purchased two items from Caribbean Chemicals Limited on Croal Street some time yesterday.
One of the substances was listed at Tritox, said to be a powerful herbicide, and the other was listed as ‘Super-Zone.’
Crime Chief Blanhum said that a passerby reported seeing them sitting and chatting around 14.00 hrs.
The bodies were taken to the Lyken Funeral Parlour.
