The Buxton ‘Carl Hooper’ Cricket Club held its Elections on Thursday October 29 at the Buxton Community ground on the East Coast and long severing President Esse Peters was reelected unopposed for another two years.
The first Vice-President is Dwayne Benjamin with Gavin Dick elected second Vice-President. Marvin Cato is the Secretary and the Treasurer, while Kevin Hart is the Public Relations Officer.
Former national youth cricketer Clive Andries, who is also a Guyana U-23 Footballer, is still the club’s first division cricket Captain with Hart doing the duties of second division Skipper.
Daren Roberts was the returning officer and after the elections Peters thanked everybody for their support and said the club was still looking for sponsorship for their teams. Peters also noted that East Coast Cricket Board President Bissoon Singh has always supported the club’s cricket development programme.
