The Village would consist of a large depiction of the Nativity Scene, while the entire compound would be transformed into a festive atmosphere with fairy lights, Christmas characters and decorations.
Guysuco Training Centre would be assisting with the construction of a 20 (twenty) feet Christmas tree, with other attractions including games for children, a photo studio while booths will have a variety of items on sale in keeping with the season.
Players will use the occasion to promote the importance of youth involvement in sports and staying in school to complete their educational career. Twelve lucky children would win toys for the holidays on a nightly basis while three families would receive a holiday food hamper compliments of the Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets First Division team.
Foster expressed confidence that the event would be successful and while they are targeting locals, tourists and returning Guyanese are also on the radar to visit the village as they seek to more importantly, promote social cohesion among residents and Guyanese.
