Several West Bank communities without water because of problems with the L’Oratoire Well Station will see a tanker delivering water to them until repairs are conducted.
According to the Guyana Water Inc. (GWI), the well is down due to technical difficulties.
It is expected that GWI’s Operations Department will be conducting emergency repairs from today with work expected to be completed by Monday.
During this period, GWI said, it will be delivering water to affected customers via a tanker.
“The delivery tanker will be traversing the main access road and will commence delivery at the entrance of every street within the affected communities.”
The affected areas that will be benefitting include Canal #1; La Parfaite Harmonie; La Grange; Westminster; Schoonord; and Recht-door-Zee.
