Better Hope Community Centre will come alive on Sunday October 18, 2015 when the dominant Better Hope Sports Club (BSC) and the talented Bravados Cricket Club (BCC) clash in the East Coast Cricket Board Second division 40 overs final. The game is expected to be a thriller with both teams fielding quality players and as usual Better Hope Community Centre is known for its large crowds in attendance at high profile games.
Keen competition is anticipated with Clive Rampersaud, Kevin Rampersaud and Jayadev Man (BSC) being very competent players and is largely responsible for their team reaching the final. Meanwhile, Earl Gilkes, Anthony Ifill and Nigel Estarado (BCC) are very explosive batsmen and had brutalized some bowling during the preliminary rounds. This competition was keenly contested by twenty-nine (29) 2nd Division teams involving Upper and Lower East Coast of Demerara.
The Better Hope Sports Club team will be selected from Clive Rampersaud (Captain), Kevin Rampersaud, Daniel Kowlessar, Roy Persaud, Jayadev Mana, Amir Khan, Mustaphar Azzimulla, Mulchend Singh (WKP), Rayan Premchan, Sachin Singh, Chandra Mohan and Randy Danraj. Manager is Jagnatine Singh and coach is Robbie Harnarine.
The Bravados Cricket Club squad is: Earl Gilkes, Nigel Estarado, Anthony Ifill, James Marell, Alex Cully, Mark Gordon, Lionel Wordsworth, Anthony Kelly, Rohan Prakash Simpson, Neville Sobers, Josha Lakhan, Marcus Whatkins, Kellon Chrmicheal, Marlon Garfield. Arnim Griffith being the coach and Hermauth Herman being Manager.
Play is expected to start at 10:00 hours and the umpires are Gyananand Sukhdeo and Kenalyn Baker with the match referee being Judister Rampersaud.
