Novar defeated Mahaicony Primary by 18 runs to win zone one of the Ministry of Education Department of Sports/National Sports Commission U12 cricket competition which was played yesterday at Fairfield, East Coast Demerara.
Batting first, Novar scored 63-3 of their allotted seven overs. Jumo Williams and Jamal Smith made 18 each. Mahaicony were bowled out for 46 in 6.1 overs in reply. Reon Gibbons made 13; Andrew Smith captured 3-9.
The competition continues tomorrow at Better Hope.
