In a release, the Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) has informed that SUNBURST National Junior and Senior Champion, 17 year old Narayan Ramdhani is now Ranked 152 in The World Juniors Rankings. He us also Ranked No 2 in the Caribbean and No. 10 among Pan American countries.
Narayan, who recently was selected by The Pan American Badminton Federation to attend the Young Talents Camp in Medellin Colombia September 15-21, 2015, also played in the VI Colombian International and it is at that tournament his Rankings moved up from 283 to 152 after he defeated Senior Player Diego Lopera of Colombia 21-18, 21-18.
He was the second male player who participated in the Camp who made it into the second rounds and won against the senior players.
Leading up to this breakthough into the world rankings he participated in the Pan Am Games in Toronto Canada July 7-26, 2015, Pan Am Junior Badminton Championships Tijuana Mexico August 2-9, 2015, Pan Am Junior Academy Tijuana Mexico August 9-15, 2015, Caribbean Junior International Championships Dominican Republic August 20-23, 2015, Caribbean Regional Team Championships Dominican Republic August 23-25, 2015, Caribbean Regional Individual Championships Dominican Republic August 25-30, 2015, Pan Am Youth Talents Camp Medellin Colombia September 16-21, 2015 and the VI Colombian International Championships 23-27, 2015.
Narayan aims to break into the top 100 of the World Rankings by participating in the World Junior Championships in Peru November 4-15 along with his 5- Member Teammates and also in the Suriname Open Championships November 18-21.
