A four-wicket haul by Davindra Ramtahal coupled by an unbeaten half century by Michael Deonarine guided Ogle CC to an eight-wicket victory over Golden Achievers when the East Coast Cricket Committee 40-over tournament continued on Sunday.
Golden Achievers were bowled out for 157 in 34 overs after they were asked to bat at Ogle. Javon Hector slammed 38, while Kevon Roberts made 23 and Raymond Small 20. Ramtahal grabbed 4-30 while Oyodha Joseph, Anthony Ifill and Vishal Moorchan had two each.
Deonarine then hammered five fours in his top score of 57 as Ogle CC responded with 158-2 in 31.5 overs. Devraj Chunilall struck 36 (3×4) and Soopaul Sanichar 18.
Previously at the said venue, Ogle defeated Strathaven B by eight wickets. The visitors batted first and were sent packing for 73 in 26 overs. Jermaine Persaud scored 26; Ayodha Joseph and Alex Chunilall claimed three wickets each. Ogle replied with 75-2 in 11 overs. Soopaul Sanichar made 40.
Ogle beat Lusignan by eight wickets. Batting first, Lusignan posted 231 all out in 38 overs. Andy Lall stroked 87 not out, Vicky Rampersaud 47 and Mahendra Etwaroo 37. Ifill snared 3-33, Nazir Hussain 2-24 and Sanichar 2-30.
Ogle responded with 235-2 in 27 overs. Charwayne Mc Pherson slammed 90 not out while Ifill made 47 and Sanichar 27.
