Massy Gas Products (Guyana) Ltd. joined the National Clean Up initiative when employees of the Company conducted a Community Enhancement Exercise on Saturday last at Eccles, East Bank Demerara.
The Clean Up project held in collaboration with the Eccles/Ramsburg NDC took place in the vicinity of Flour Mill Road, through Old Road, Eccles.
More than 50 employees of the Company, staff of the NDC and residents of the community took part in the exercise, which involved weeding the parapets, raking, picking up garbage, painting of pedestrian crossing, speed humps and road signs as well as painting of bridges, and lamp posts. The entrance to Eccles Primary School was also cleaned.
Chief Executive Officer of Massy Gas Products, Shameer Hoosein, said the exercise was part of the Company’s Annual Social Impact Programme. Last year the Company repaired the Eccles Primary School Fence and enhanced the school surroundings. Mr. Hoosein expressed gratitude to the Eccles/Ramsburg NDC, employees of Massy Gas Products and the residents for participating in the exercise.
“We are extremely grateful to the NDC for assisting us and all other partners in this project, our staff should also be commended for their continued commitment to these activities,” he added.
