The Document centre located at the recently commissioned Giftland Mall was opened yesterday.
Shelly Niles, team leader for the centre, laid bare all the promotions currently being offered by the Document Centre and other stores in the mall. Promotions include Senior Citizens Monday which gives 15 per cent off selected items or a free movie ticket, and Tuesday student specials, which offer the same conditions as Senior citizens Monday.
On Wednesday which is Customers’ Appreciation Day, a movie ticket is given to the purchaser of $5000 and more. Thursday brags of a 20% promotion off household items. There would be no other promotions on the other days. Promotions are only available on selected items.
In addition to the normal services a Document centre offers, this one also gives research help for students via the internet, picture editing and wedding invitations. The centre will soon be able to boast of oil canvas printing, one of the first Document centres in Guyana to provide such a service.
The centre will now begin recruiting staff.
The Giftland Mall which was officially opened recently, has provided jobs for hundreds. More jobs will be created soon as several other booths are set to open later this year.
Thursday will see the official opening of a restaurant located in the mall, Bistro Azure.
