Managing Director and Proprietor of Trophy Stall Mr. Ramesh Sunich expressed pleasure to continue sponsorship of Golf Tournaments at Lusignan, the latest fixed for today. Mr. Sunich is currently the Vice President of the Guyana Floodlight Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA), and who has been involved in sponsorship of sports in all the disciplines in Guyana for many years. He proudly remarked that it is about 16 years now he has been in association with the Lusignan Golf Club, supplying trophies for most of their tournaments, and in fact has been sponsoring tournaments for some 6 years or so. He pledged to continue sponsoring this great game in Guyana.
Today’s game is expected to attract a large number of players. Up for grabs are trophies for 1st to 3rd position of the Overall Best Net golfer, Best Gross and Nearest to The Pin. Tee-off is set for 12:30 PM.
The Greens are very fast and true, while the fairways and rough are much improved. Keen competition is expected as veteran Golfer Patrick Prashad, who has won the best gross over the last two tournaments, will be up against the very consistent Patanjalee “Pur” Persaud and the fast learning 12 year old Laksmana Ramroop, the winner of last week’s Demerara Mutual tournament among others.
