The Guyana Police Force is seeking the assistance of members of the public in tracking down three men who escaped from the Lethem Police Station a week ago.
The men, Don Peters, Michael Mc Donald and Tiagio Da Silva who were all on remand for various offences, including break and enter and larceny, managed to cut through the lock securing the station lock-ups and made good their escape last Thursday, September 17.
They face escaping from lawful custody charges.
Police say Don Peters is 28 years old and his last known addresses are St. Ignatius, Central Rupununi and Bon Fin, Brazil.
Michael Mcdonald is 20 years old and his last known addresses are also listed as St. Ignatius, Central Rupununi and Bon Fin, Brazil
Tiagio Da Dilva, 28 is a Brazilian by birth.
The fact that the men have connections in neighbouring Brazil, it is widely believed that they have fled there, and local police are hoping that their counterparts in the Portuguese-speaking country would assist in their capture.
The police say anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Don Peters, Michael Mc Donald and Tiagio Da Silva is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers, 226-1333, 225-2722, 225-6411, 225-8196, 772-2087, 772-2005, 911 or the nearest police station.
All information will be treated with strict confidence.
