Guyana’s leading badminton player, Narayan Ramdhani is currently attending the Pan Am Badminton Federation Development Committee, Young Talents Camp in Medellin Colombia which started yesterday and will conclude on
September 25, next.
Ramdhani who will be under the watchful eyes of Camp Director, Professor Qadafi Muamar of Indonesia will also be competing in the Men’s Singles event of the VI Colombia International Championships which will run from September 23-25.
The Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) in a press release said it is pleased that Ramdhani, who has been competing quite regularly on the international stage has gained attention at the International level.
The release also informed that Ramdhani’s Junior World Ranking has improved a great deal since he has moved up to 269 from 491 after competing in three tournaments. This ranking can get even better as the leading Guyana player has three more international tournaments on his radar for the remainder of the year; the Colombian Open, World Junior Championships and Suriname International.
The GBA says it is expressing thanks to the Guyana Olympic Association its assistance towards Ramdhani attending the Camp in Columbia.
