Stag Beer/Slingerz FC West Side inter-village football underway

The 2nd Annual Stag Beer Westside Inter-Village 5-a-side football tournament commenced on Sunday at the Vergenoegen Rice Mill Tarmac with four matches.
De Kenderan edged Vergenoegen Gun and Rose 2-1 while Samaroo Dam got the better of Tuschen Rising Star, Pouderoyen Show Stoppers overcame Vergenoegen Allstar and Sara Lodge defeated Pouderoyen Admirals.
The tournament continues tonight from 19:00hrs at the said venue with West Bank Raiders facing Westside Ballers, Patentia Street Ballers playing Ansa Mc Al, Jetty Gunners matching skills with Shatta Ville and Gunners doing battle with Crane Brothers United.
The tournament will conclude on Sunday while admission to all matches is free. The competition is being sponsored by Ansa Mc Al, Gulf Motor Oil, Two Brothers Gas Station, Double Day Rentals, Choice Waters and Slingerz entertainment.
