The Ramdhani siblings, #3 Seed Narayan Ramdhani and sister Priyanna along with Tryese Jeffrey have all made it into the semi finals of various events when the Caribbean Regional Badminton Confederation (CAREBACO) Individual Championships continued on Friday and yesterday at Club Los Prados, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Advancing to the medal rounds were Narayan Ramdhani in Boys Singles. Priyanna Ramdhani has qualified in the Girls Singles, Girls Doubles and Mix Doubles in partnership with Tyrese Jeffrey.
Results of quarter final matches are as follows:
Boys Under-19 Singles Quarter-Finals: No. 3 Seeded Narayan Ramdhani (Guyana) defeated Palmer Shaquille (Jamaica) 21-14, 21-16.
Boys Under-19 Doubles Quarter-Finals: No. 1 Seeded players Narayan Ramdhani and Jonathan Mangra (Guyana) lost to Joel Angus and Palmer Shaquille (Jamaica) 16-21, 19-21.
Girls Under-15 Singles Quarter-Finals: No. 1 Seed Priyanna Ramdhani (Guyana) defeated Mileki Acosta (Dominican Republic) 21-18, 13-21, 16-21.
Girls Under-15 Doubles Quarter-Finals: Priyanna Ramdhani (Guyana) and Erisa Bleau (Suriname) defeated Chequeda De Boulet and Waynetta Thomas (Trinidad & Tobago) 21-15, 21-13.
Mix Doubles Under-15: No. 4 Seeds Priyanna Ramdhani and Tyrese Jeffrey (Guyana) defeated
Jaison Marte and Kaina Lucero (Dominican Republic) 21-13, 21-11.
Boys Under-15 Singles Quarter-Finals: Tyrese Jeffrey (Guyana) lost to No. 2 Seed Daniel Acosta (Dominican Republic) 21-12, 21-12.
Boys Under-15 Doubles Quarter-Finals: Tyrese Jeffrey (Guyana) and Samuel Rosado (Dominican Republic) lost to Daniel Acosta and Edison Ramirez (Dominican Republic) 21-6, 21-7.
