A&R Jiwanram Printery honours winning draughts team

The winning Draughts Players that recently defeated Nickerie Suriname were honored by A&R Jiwanram Printery of Bel Air Georgetown. This event was held at the Association’s Head Office, 185 Waterloo Street on Saturday August 15th 2015. Paul Jiwanram made available Medals and certificates for the players. President of the Guyana Draughts Association Mr. Jiaram and Paul D’Anjou Coordinator for the GDA coordinated the programme.
The President once again congratulated the players for their valiant effort in defeating such strong opponents 8-0. He said that preparations are now taking place to tour Trinidad. Trinidad had invited the Guyana Draughts Team for a Goodwill game earlier this year but due to inadequate funds the tour was not possible.
Those awarded were:- Mark Brathwaite, Khemraj Pooranmall, Steve Bacchus and Jiaram. Also present was Secretary of the Association Ms. Marlyn Ali, Members Glenrick Jordan and Patrick DeFreitas, Coordinator and Representative of A&R Printery Mr. Paul D’Anjou.
In the closing remarks Mr. Jiaram on behalf of the Association thanked the sponsor for their worthwhile contributions in recognizing the players.
