Memorex and Hertstelling have booked their places in the semi-finals of the Kings softball Cup which continued last weekend at Enterprise.
Playing in the over-35 category, Memorex defeated Enterprise by 126 runs. Batting first,
Memorex posted 229-4 in 15 overs. David Lukenauth struck 75, Roy Jafferally 49 and Keith Fraser 46. Denesh Persaud claimed 3-36.
Enterprise replied with 102 all out in 13.3 overs. Sadesh Yadram made 58; Balram Samaroo had 3-4 and Vinan De Silva 2-2.
Memorex overcame Shallim XI by 62 runs. Memorex batted first and managed 158 all out in 14.5 overs. Fraser made 34 and Lukenauth 22. Samuel Kingston and Balram Roopnarine snared three wickets each for Shallim XI who responded with 96-9. Mark Fung scored 43 as Lukenauth, De Silva and Jafferally picked up three scalps apiece.
Shallim XI beat Enterprise by nine wickets. Enterprise took first strike and managed 102-5 in 15 overs. Sadesh Yadram cracked 65; Randy Katwaroo and Kingston captured two wickets each. Shallim XI replied with 104-1 in 7.4 overs. Katwaroo slammed 58 not out while Kumar Singh made an unbeaten 26.
In the open category, Herstelling got the better of Farm by 32 runs. Herstelling took first knock and made 157-4 in 10 overs. Shameer Fazal stroked 107 and Ralph Lane 26. Ameer Khan and Patrick Khan took two wickets each. Farm responded with 125-9 in 10 overs. Patrick Khan made 20; Lane and Keisho Ramsarran claimed two wickets apiece.
Herstelling overcame Success Warriors by 11 runs. Batting first, Herstelling scored 134-7 in 10 overs. Isiah Mohamed struck 81 and Lane 20. Raj Kumar took 2-33. Success Warriors were restricted for 123-8 in 10- overs. Chris Sukram made 48; Ramsarran claimed 3-20.
Success Warriors overcame Farm by four wickets. Farm scored 67-8 in 10 overs, batting first. Patrick Khan got 36; Kevin Oxford grabbed 4-20. Success Warriors replied with 72-6 in 8.1 overs. Chris Sukram made 18; Danny Singh and Amir Khan captured two wickets each.
