Hetymer’s 55 sees Guyana to 4-wkt win against Jamaica
Guyana retained the WICB Under-19 One-Day Championship with a four-wicket win over Jamaica at Manchester High School today.
Set 246 to win, Guyana scored 250 for six off 46 overs. Opener Shimron Hetmyer led the way with 55 off 50 balls including five fours and two sixes before he became the second of the first three wickets to fall – all by the run out route.
Jamaica scored 245 for six off 50 overs after winning the toss.
Opener and wicket-keeper Jevoy Spence top scored with 92, which came off 140 balls and included nine fours and two sixes.
