According to the police, on Tuesday last, Zuleema Sookram, a teacher of Seven Philadelphia, East Bank Essequibo went to the police and told them that her husband, Davonan, had left their home on Tuesday to go to Parika and did not return.
A search was launched and around midday on Friday, Sookram’s body was found at the side of the Ruby Access Road near a trench. It was in an advanced stage of decomposition.
The police said that a hole was seen in his forehead and another at the back of his head.
