Holders Guyana, Jamaica and Barbados registered victories when the Regional U19 50-over tournament continued Thursday in Jamaica.
At Ewarton Recreation Park, Guyana defeated Windward Islands by 85 runs. Batting first, Guyana posted 257 all out in 49.5 overs. Keemo Paul led with 55 (5×4), Kassim Khan made 51 (2×4,2×6), Shimron Hetmyer 40 (5×4,2×6) and Tevin Imlach 36 (2×4). Doman Edward was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, while Gidron Pope and Jno Lewis had two each.
Windwards were bowled out for 172 in 39.3 overs. Kassim Khan captured 4- 32, while Balchan Baldeo and Akshaya Persaud had two each.
At Jamalco, Clarendon, Jamaica overcame Leewards by 23 runs. Jamaica batted first and scored 276-6 in 50 overs. Leewards replied with 244 all out in 47.4 overs with Alzarri Joseph scoring 97 (9×4,4×6). Miguel Smith snared four scalps while Odean Smith had three.
At Manchester High School, Barbados trounced Canada by 151 runs. Barbados took first strike and rattled up 272-4 in 50 overs. Leniko Boucher stroked 101 (11×4) and Lee-Germon Gaskin cracked 91 (8×4). Harsha Thanker and E. David claimed two wickets apiece.
Canada were shot out for 121 in 33.1 overs in reply. Abraash Khan slammed 46 while David made 26. Keon Harding had 3-30 while Chemar Holder, Khalil Herbert and Ian Boyce had two each.
