Police in the interior have arrested three men who they believe could provide vital information on the murder of 29-year-old Rasharda Dusrah.
The body of Dusrah who reportedly hails from the Essequibo Coast, and who was residing at Station Street, Kitty, was discovered in an abandoned mining pit at Oku Backdam, Puruni on Tuesday, with a gaping wound to his neck.
Police in a press release said that they are still investigating the circumstances surrounding Dusrah’s death, which is the second to be recorded in the interior for the week.
The decomposing body was brought to the city yesterday. It is at present lying in a mortuary awaiting the Pathologist’s examination.
