The seniors shot from the 10 and 12.5 meters distances while juniors shot from five and 10 meter distances.
Handgun captain Dale Hing who supervised the competition stated that Precision Pistol shooting has always been the foundation for marksmen and women to develop. He said whether they continue in that category or move on to other fast paced shooting disciplines like practical pistol and action pistol shooting their foundation will remain strong.
“With this foundation and the basic marksmanship and safety principles combined with practice, discipline and the right attitude a shooter’s performance will improve,” Hing added.
Meanwhile, the next Practical Shoot will be the annual Modern Optical Cup team competition set for the end of August at the Timehri ranges.
The competition will attract teams from the Guyana Police Force, Guyana Defence Force, Presidential Guards, Bank of Guyana Security and the Guyana NRA.
