The Indian Action (formerly arrival) Committee on Saturday July 25, 2015, hosted its Seventh National Eid Fest at the Kingston Development Center Mosque, Corriverton, Berbice.
In attendance were Farouk Carter from the Central Islamic Organization of Guyana; Attorney at Law/Member of Parliament, Charrandas Persaud; Executive Members of the IAC and members of the various Schools, Orphanages and Mosques in Berbice.
The event started with a Cultural Programme, which included an Opening Prayer, Recitation of the Quran, Speech on Ramadan, Singing of Qaseedas and a Closing Prayer.
After the programme, all were treated to a wide range of finger licking dishes and Muslim tokens organized by the members of the IAC.
This event would not have been a success without the help of the Muslim Community and various business organisations.
The IAC has therefore, expressed its gratitude to Banks DIH, Demerara Distillers Limited, Survival Supermarket, RK’s, Guyana Rice Development Board, National Communications Network, and all the other persons who took time off from their busy schedule to lend support to the Committee in organising this event.
