When competition in the Den Amstel Culture Group (DACG) / Big Player Organisation (BPO) Inter Block, round-robin football tournament continued on Sunday at the Den Amstel ground, registering wins were West Side Masters and Back Street.
Back Street edged West Bank Masters 2-1 with goals coming off the boot of Akimbo Henry and Delon Lanferman. For the losers, Quason McCaulay converted. The day’s opening game produced a 1-0 win for West Side Masters over Fellowship compliments of an Owen McGarrell goal.
Five teams are battling in a round-robin format before the top two advances to the finals. Prizes will be awarded to the first to four place teams, $50,000, $25,000, $15,000 and $10,000 respectively.
Defending champions are Front Road; more matches will be contested this weekend at the same venue.
