Fiji Islands (Fijitimes) – Two Guyanese nationals were yesterday admitted to the bar at the High Court in Suva, Fiji Islands.
The admission ceremony was presided over by Chief Justice Anthony Gates.
Andrew Liverpool, 25, and Shinella Andrea Ghent, 27, both graduated with a law degree from the University of Guyana and attained their Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Fiji.
Chief Justice Gates wished the duo well and reminded them of the oaths that they took, to see that right and justice is done.
Families and friends were present during the ceremony to witness the duo take two solemn oaths, one of allegiance to the profession and the other to uphold the Constitution of the Republic of Fiji Islands.
