Nokhal Haralall, of lot 96 Logwood, Enmore, East Coast Demerara, is now a patient of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, after he was hit by a motorcycle on a roadway in his community yesterday afternoon.
Kaieteur News understand that Harallall, a pedestrian, was struck down by a motorcycle ridden by Tyrone Liverpool around 03:45 hrs.
According to the police both the pedestrian and the motorcyclist sustained injuries. Haralall is said to have broken both legs while Liverpool sustained injuries to the head and mouth.
One of Liverpool’s aunts who was at the hospital but requested anonymity, said that she was at home when she received a call informing her about the incident. The woman said that she along with other family members rushed to the hospital only to be informed that they would not be allowed to visit the patient at that time.
Efforts to contact Harallall’s family proved futile. Police are still investigating.
