Big Boss Transportation Service in association with Hopkinson Mining and Logistics (HML) 20/20 Dominoes will be contested on Sunday at The Garage, Aubrey Baker Road, South Ruimveldt.
Double six time is 13:30 hrs and entrance fee is $10,000. The winning team will take home a trophy and $200,000, runner up a trophy and $150,000 and third place a trophy and $100,000.
The Most valuable player will pocket a trophy and $10,000, the best uniformed team a trophy and $25,000, and player that shares the first double love a trophy and $10,000.
36 teams are expected to take part and among them are C7, B4, R and R, Lions, GGMC, Rage, Mix Up, Lumber, TNT, Mo Fire, Frankies, Upper Level, Gangster, West Side, Specialist, Providence, F and H, All Seasons, Mings Products, Ministry of Health, Spartons, Trouble Shooters and Strikers.
The competition is being co-sponsored by Ansa Mc Al, GUYTRAC, Doosan, H.B. Curtis, Scott’s Jewellery, Beckles Lumber Yard, The Garage, Faye Joseph, Patterson and Associates, Sweet Point, Dynasty Entertainment Centre and Strikers Sports Club.
Chief Executive Officer of Big Boss Transportation Service, Lyndon Boston told Kaieteur Sport that indiscipline will not be tolerated and urged the teams to be punctual to facilitate a prompt start. He wished the teams well and thanked the sponsors.
Meanwhile, Osaffo Adams of Sweet Point yesterday presented a cheque of an undisclosed amount to Boston at a simple ceremony held at Orange Walk, Bourda. In a brief remark Adams said they are pleased to be associated with the competition.
