President of the Guyana Cricket Umpires Council (GCUC) Dhieranidranauth Somwaru will lead a 10-member delegation to the
West Indies Cricket Umpires Association (WICUA) bi-annual convention which will be held in Brooklyn, New York from July 19.
The conference will commence with a church service which be followed by an opening ceremony on July 20. In a brief comment Somwaru said he is pleased to be at the helm of the Guyana contingent adding that issues affecting umpires would be raised and hopefully resolved. He expressed gratitude to all those who have assisted the GCUC with this venture.
Among those making the trip are former international umpire Eddie Nicholls, first class umpire Nigel Duguid and Leyland Liverpool.
