Two men fingered in a 2010 Nandy Park robbery were yesterday jailed by Providence Magistrate Leron Dailey for 10 years after they were found guilty.
Ade Doobay, 36, of North Ruimveldt; and his partner Damano Torrisi, 38, of Diamond Housing Scheme, during their first appearance at the Providence Magistrate’s Court, were remanded to prison after they pleaded not guilty. They were subsequently placed on $150,000 bail each.
On July 16, 2010 at Nandy Park, East Bank Demerara, the men armed with a gun, robbed Mohamed Raheem and two others of a quantity of gold and diamond jewelry.
Several witnesses were called to testify in the matter.
