President David Granger yesterday met with top officials of the China Harbour
Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC), the Chinese company currently engaged in the US$150M airport expansion project at Timehri.
The project, one of the largest infrastructural ones in terms of cost for Guyana, is currently under review because of questions raised by the government while it was in Opposition during the 10th Parliament.
The then Opposition had insisted that it was not comfortable with the costs and wanted a review.
Included in the delegation yesterday that met with President Granger were General Manager, Xiaofeng Wang and his assistant, Zhimin Hu.
