Bids were opened yesterday by the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board for projects aimed at rehabilitating drainage pumps in Region No. 6, under the Ministry of Agriculture’s National Drainage and Irrigation Association (NDIA). The project involves three lots.
There were three bids for rehabilitation of drainage pumps for Lot 1, the engineer’s estimate of which was $2.5M.
Bids for Lot 2 came with an engineer’s estimate of $1.7M
The engineer’s estimate for Lot 3 was $3.8M. The bids were as follows:
The Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) also received bids for management of the water supply system in Mabaruma, Region No 1. The engineer’s estimate for this undertaking was $23,182,096.
And the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment received a solitary bid for the provision of consultancy services aimed at prioritizing hotspots for monitoring and enforcing of gold mining activities.
