A Georgetown business family is offering a reward for the recovery of three
passports that were stolen on Sunday, after gunmen invaded their Waterloo Street, South Cummingsburg home and carted off the documents and $1.5M in local currency.
Abdul Saif Kadir said that he was about to enter his home around 04.00 hrs, after checking on his business when three armed men pounced on him. He said that the men took him into his home, where they held other family members at gunpoint.
The robbers searched the premises and found a bag containing $1.5M. They also relieved the victims of three passports before escaping in a white car.
The stolen passports belonged to Abdul Saif Kadir, Abdul Zulfiekar Kadir and Bibi Nafeesah Kadir. Mr. Abdul Saif Kadir’s and Mr. Abdul Zulfiekar Kadir’s passports have active US visas.
