Dear Editor,
Clement Rohee was quoted in Kaieteur News (2/06/2015) as saying that the process of identifying candidates for Regional Councils and the National Assembly requires lengthy consultations from “the grassroots level coming all the way up to the leadership of the party.”
Can Mr. Rohee say why no such consultations were done when Donald Ramotar was selected as PPP’s presidential candidate for the 2011 elections, and when Elizabeth Harper was chosen to run as prime ministerial candidate in the 2015 elections?
Is it true what Mr. Ralph Ramkarran, son of a PPP founder leader, said, that party internal elections were manipulated?
