Decomposed body fished out of Cozier Canal

Police assigned to the Charity Outpost, yesterday morning, recovered the body of an unidentified man who they presumed to be in his thirties at a trench, at Cozier.
Information received suggests that the unidentified man was apparently attempting to cross a bridge at Cozier when he slipped and fell overboard. Other reports indicate that the man was intoxicated.
Police were alerted at the scene after persons in the area were hit by a strong stench emanating from the area. Detectives later transported the body to the Oscar Joseph Hospital, in Charity.
A Post Mortem examination revealed that he died from drowning.
