The President, Executive and members of the Everest Cricket Club has congratulated their opening batsman Rajendra Chandrika on his selection to the West Indies team to face Australia in the two-match test which commenced yesterday in Dominica.
The club wishes him a long a fruitful career and noted that his elevation is a result of the hard work he had done over the years, a release from the club stated. By virtue of his call up, the right handed batsman has become a life member of the organization.
The club has also congratulated Travis Persaud on his selection as captain of the Guyana U19 team and expressed disappointment at the exclusion of the Shivnarine Chanderpaul from the West Indies side for the current series.
