Residents in the Aberdeen\Friendship area, in the Lower Pomeroon who are unable to use a clogged up canal at Aberdeen\Dublin, have sent a reminder to the new Government to make serious efforts to dig the canal in order to resuscitate its use by its residents.
Tall weeds have almost covered the canal. Residents now say that the canal also needs to be dug in order to facilitate the flow of water.
Residents who are unable to use the Aberdeen canal, say the canal was dug once in the early seventies and again some 15 years ago.
